Arsenal FC manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz will both miss Saturday’s Premier League clash against Fulham FC.
Timber has been sidelined since last month due to an ankle injury, while Havertz picked up a knock during last weekend’s match against Newcastle United, reports alldaysport.net
The German midfielder was also absent during Arsenal’s midweek UEFA Champions League draw with Atletico Madrid, raising concerns about his fitness.
Arteta confirmed that neither player will be available for the upcoming London derby, dealing a blow to Arsenal as they aim to maintain momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
There is, however, cautious optimism surrounding captain Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian playmaker was forced off during the match against Atletico Madrid with a knee issue. When asked about his availability, Arteta remained non-committal, saying: “Let’s see.”
Arsenal fans will be hoping Odegaard can recover in time, as his creativity and leadership are crucial ahead of a demanding fixture schedule./ALLDAYSPORT/
